Sonu Nigam is faced for alleged controversial comments during Bengaluru concert
Singer Sonu Nigam gave a school to a fan during his concert in Bangalore, when he demanded a Kannada song from him. An FIR has been lodged against the singer, which calls his comment controversial.

Singer Sonu Nigam has got into legal trouble after an FIR was lodged against him on the alleged controversial comments on Kannada songs. Alalli police has issued a notice to Nigam, asking him to appear for questioning. Notice was reportedly sent through WhatsApp.
As part of the investigation, the police is investigating the video clip in which Nigam allegedly made statements. Officials have collected these videos with raw footage from event organizers. The material is being sent to Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) to verify the authenticity of video and audio.
Officials are particularly focused on determining whether the voice hearing in the footage is actually Sonu Nigam and whether the clip is edited. A voice matching test FSL is expected to be held using a voice sample that will be collected from the singer.
Further action will be taken based on the forensic report. Meanwhile, the police have also questioned the organizers of the incident regarding the case. The investigation is being led by the Alahlli police and continues.
In a viral video from Nigam’s concert at East Point College, Bangalore, he can be given school education to the person who asks him to sing a song in Kannada. During the concert, a fan shouted at him, demanding a song in Kannada. The singer stopped, addressed the crowd, and politely expressed his love to the language. He said that he respects the people of Karnataka, but feels ‘threatened’ with the fan’s voice.
