Listen to the story

Samsung’s recently released flagship phone-Galaxy S25 Ultra and Galaxy S25+-are power-pack devices, which have top level features, including 45W fast wired charging. However, some users have expressed concern about charging issues with their equipment, according to a report. Samsung Italy has also accepted the issue, indicating that it only belongs to fast wired charging on the Galaxy S25 Ultra and S25+ models. This is promised in future software updates. Importantly, wireless charging remains unaffected.
According to a report by Android headlines, some early adopts of Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra and Galaxy S25+ have reported to stop charging or slow. However, Samsung is actively working on a software update to solve it. Meanwhile, the company recommends using a 3A USB Type-C cable that comes with a bundle with a phone instead of 5A Type-C cable. This slight twice has helped some users to gain continuous charging speed. If you are experiencing issues, the closing of fast charging feature can also stabilize charging until the update rolls out. However, it will slow down your phone and beat the entire purpose of having a 45W fast charging feature in the first place.
Talking about, there is also a feeling among some users that with 45W charging, Samsung has cut the corners by not offering high wattage charging speeds. He said, 45W is still a very respectable solution when it comes to charging speed. Certainly, some contestants provide superfast charging speeds of 100W or even 120W, but we should also understand that such fast charging reduces battery life in the long run. So, Samsung’s choice to stick with 45W is not about cutting corners; It is about preserving battery health in a long race. This is the reason that phones of companies like Samsung and Apple are usually known for their reliable battery longevity.
For unknown, with 45W fast charging, Galaxy S25 Ultra and Galaxy S25+ can go to zero to heroes in about 75 minutes. About 30 minutes are required on charges of 50 percent. Therefore, the speed of charging is more than enough for everyday needs, making sure that your phone battery is healthy for years.
While the third-party 5A cable or chargers may have worked with older models, they may not be fully compatible with the Galaxy S25 series. For the best experience, Samsung – of course – recommends using your certified 45W adapter and provided 3A cable. It ensures optimal charging performance and avoids any compatibility issues.
While Samsung is already on it, the first post-launch software update for the Galaxy S25 series included charging optimization, although it is not clear that it completely solves the problem.
