Rana Daggubati unveiled the Telugu trailer of the Amazon Original series, Snakes & Ladders, which was originally made in Tamil, with ace filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj as the creative producer.

Baahubali actor Rana Daggubati recently shared his excitement about the release of the Telugu trailer of Snakes & Ladders, a dark humor thriller series set to premiere on Prime Video on October 18. The actor, who is known for his impressive screen presence, introduced the new series on social media. Curated by acclaimed filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj and produced by Kalyan Subramaniam under the banner of A Stone Bench Productions, Snakes & Ladders looks to be a gripping, mystery-filled ride.

Rana Daggubati unveiled the Telugu trailer with the caption, “Danger waits at every step. e vaikunthapali aata chudaniki meru siddhama(Are you ready to watch this snakes and ladders game?) (sic).” The Tamil original will also be available in Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi, indicating its wide reach across all languages.

The nine-episode series is directed by Ashok Veerappan, Bharat Muralitharan and Kamala Alchemis, with Kamala and Dhiwakar Kamal as its producers. The show has a strong cast including Naveen Chandra, Nanda, Manoj Bharathiraja, Muthukumar and Srinda in lead roles.

Set in the mid-2000s, the story revolves around a group of school friends whose lives are thrown into chaos after they find a mysterious dollar. Their journey quickly turns into a dangerous game of survival, where each move mirrors the unpredictable twists of the classic game of Snakes and Ladders.

Snakes & Ladders is the new offering from Prime Video after the success of other Tamil hits like Sujhal – The Vortex and Vaadhandhi: The Fable of Veloni. Karthik Subbaraj highlighted the uniqueness of the series, emphasizing its complex character dynamics and unexpected twists.

The series is set to stream on Prime Video in over 240 countries from October 18, 2024.
