Sirai, starring Vikram Prabhu in the lead, was released in theaters on December 25, 2025, on the occasion of Christmas last year. Now, after making a splash at the box office, the film is all set for its online debut.
When and where to see Sirai
Sirai is expected to arrive on OTT platform ZEE5 and start streaming from January 23, 2026. The official update was shared by the platform through its social media handles.
Sharing the announcement, the post read, “A powerful journey of justice and humanity begins. Experience the thrill of Sirai on 23rd January on ZEE5.”

Sirai’s official trailer and plot
Sirai is a courtroom crime drama based on the story of Head Constable Kathiravan, who is assigned the task of escorting an accused man, Abdul Rauf, from jail to court.
Through flashbacks of Abdul’s life, the film highlights systemic bias and human struggles while exploring themes of identity, justice, and humanity within a flawed system. The film focuses specifically on the challenges faced by underprivileged and minority communities in India.
Sirai cast and crew
Sirai stars Vikram Prabhu in the lead role, along with LK Akshay Kumar, Maranmas fame Anishma Anilkumar (in Tamil debut), Anand Thambirajah, Harishankar Narayanan, Remya Suresh, Munnar Ramesh, PL Thenappan and many others in lead roles.
Directed by Suresh Rajkumari, he has co-written this film with Tamizh. Produced by SS Lalit Kumar under the banner of Seven Screen Studios, the film’s music and background score is composed by Justin Prabhakaran.
Cinematography is handled by Madhesh Manickam, with Philomin Raj serving as editor. Upon theatrical release, the film received positive reviews from both critics and audiences.
Vikram Prabhu’s previous film
Vikram Prabhu was last seen in the lead role in Ghati opposite Anushka Shetty. Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, the action crime drama tells the story of Sheelavathi and Desi Raju, a couple who must rise above the odds to protect their community.
Apart from the lead actors, the film also stars Chaitanya Rao Madadi, Jagapathi Babu, Jisshu Sengupta, Brahmanandam, Suhasini Mani Ratnam, Sumitra, Giri Babu and many others in important roles. The film did not receive an overwhelming response and ultimately failed at the box office.
