Singham Again vs Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3: What’s the fight about? Screen Number, Housefull Capacity & More

As D-Day approaches, the battle for screens between Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Singham Again is getting intense, and it looks like both of them are doing better than expected thanks to a strong distributor partner in Anil Thadani. Got a deal. As per the current trends, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is poised to perform almost at par with Singham Again in single screens and non-national series, while the national series from PVRinox and Cinepolis are expected to be in the 58:42 range. In favor of Singham Again, PVRinox is going for 60:40, and Cinepolis is bargaining in the ratio of 55:45.

These are still early days, as there are still 4 days left, the situation will change as big players in the industry may take steps to sort out the distribution game of Singham Again. As of now, the national performance of Singham Again: Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is at the ratio of 54:46, which is a big win for BB3 against the juggernaut like Singham Again. However, as mentioned above, these are still early days, and the distributors of Singham Again are in talks to get a bigger deal in terms of performance.

The battle is towards the 57:43 slab of showcase at the pan-India level, and we will know the exact show split between the police universe saga and horror comedy by the end of Thursday. The release of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has already started in limited centres, and we are still waiting for clarity regarding Singham Again.

Talking about the opening day box office potential, the top 3 national chains, PVRinox and Cinepolis make a business of around Rs 52 crore (net), with single screen and non-national chains contributing around Rs 48 crore to the total business. One should note that this is taking into account the enhanced pricing model for the Diwali 2024 weekend. Of the Rs 53 crore across the top 3 national series (57:43 split), Singham Again is expected to get Rs 30 crore, and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is targeting Rs 22 crore. Talking about single screen and non-national series, the split is expected to be 53:47, Singham Again will aim to get a potential of around Rs 26 crore, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 will get a chance of Rs 22 crore.

On a pan-India basis, the total single day capacity of Singham Again will be between Rs 54 to Rs 58 crore, while the housefull capacity of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 will be Rs 44 to 46 crore, depending on where the final distribution takes place. The ratio is fixed. On top of that, it looks like BB3 has got a bigger deal, also because of the packaged deal with Pushpa 2. In a high-profile clash, the strength of the delivery plays a major role, and the pairing of Bhushan Kumar and Kartik Aryan looks to be good. If early trends are to be believed, they have played their cards right by bringing Anil Thadani on board.

Both showings will continue from Monday to Thursday, and there will also be changes in showings for the weekend on Fridays based on actual discussion about both films from the Friday morning show. All eyes are on how things unfold in the coming few days as the fight is going to get more intense from here.
