Ketan Agarwal died during a trek to Lohagarh Fort on 18 June. Although the incident was initially treated as an accidental fall, the investigation later took a different turn after police allegedly uncovered evidence that suggested his death was planned.
Investigators have alleged that Ketan’s fiancee Sia Goyal and her alleged lover Chetan Chaudhary were involved in the conspiracy. Both have been arrested in connection with the case and sent to judicial custody. The investigation is ongoing and the charges against him have not yet been proven in court.
The alleged conspiracy involves a pre-planned conspiracy by Sia Goyal and her lover Chetan Chaudhary to kill her businessman fiance Ketan Aggarwal because she was not ready to go ahead with their upcoming marriage.
The two had reportedly practiced the crime at the Lohagarh Fort the day before, and during the latter’s visit, Sia gave a pre-arranged signal to Chetan to push Ketan off the cliff, while ensuring that he remained safely out of her grasp. Sia initially attempted to mislead investigators by portraying the murder as a tragic slip and fall accident.
