Singer Chinmayi Sripada has reacted to the massive fire that broke out in Delhi’s Malviya Nagar in which at least 21 people lost their lives. Sharing a video of the incident on social media, he suggested that the presence of foreign nationals among the victims could affect the way the authorities handled the case.

Reaction to a video shared by the news agency PTI On X, Chinmayi wrote: “Many of those killed in the restaurant fire are foreigners. There is a good chance that this case will be dealt with properly only because of that.”

According to preliminary findings, the fire is believed to have been caused by a suspected short circuit in the internal wiring of the building.
