Simma Taparia rejected the matchmaking request of Nausheen Ali Sardar on religion
Nausheen Ali Sardar revealed that matchmaker Sima Taparia refused to help find a life partner because of his religion. The actor criticized Taparia’s orthodox views and questioned who defines the right match for him.

Actor Nausheen Ali Sardar, who is known for playing the title role in the Hindi Daily Soap ‘Kekusam’, recently opened up about a personal shock when he faced a life partner. He said that celebrity matchmaker Sima Taparia refused to assist him in finding a match, allegedly cited his ‘religion’, citing the reason for this.
In Siddharth Kannan’s YouTube show, Sardar revealed that his family started contact after watching Taparia’s Netflix series ‘Indian Matchmaking’. He said, “I think it was during Kovid. My sister said to me,” The way you are going to find a life partner is not right. At least help us. ” So I said, ‘Go ahead, I have no problem.
The 43 -year -old said that when Taparia replied, it was destroyed, “No, we can’t find you because you are Muslims’ I can’t help laugh at the fact that it was absurd.”
Sardar also raised the issue on the behavior of women with the conservative views of Taparia, pointing out that in the ‘Indian Matchmaking’, he often urged women to be polite “calm” and “keeping their eyes down”. Calling such advice as old, he commented that someone was ironic to catch these ideas to refuse to make it completely based on religion.
Sardar, who was born from an Iranian mother and a Punjabi father and grew up in a Catholic atmosphere, said that he did not actively follow Islam. He shared that he had intended to find a partner who could come from ‘Catholic, Sikh, or Punjabi Background’. The actor carried forward his disappointment with a limited approach of the matchmaker, asking, “Who really defines the right match for me?”
Sardar gained popularity with his lead role in ‘Kaksum’ in the early 2000s, which established him as a domestic name. The actor later appeared in shows like ‘Bend Bonongaha Ghori Chadhunga’, ‘The Adventures of Hatim’ and ‘Alif Laila’. Beyond television, he also acted in films like ‘Three: Love, Lies and Betral’ and ‘Do Dilon Ke Khela Mein’. Sardar also participated in the reality show, including ‘Khatrone Ke Khiladi’ and ‘Zoro Jatka: Total Wipeout’.
‘Indian Matchmaking’ is a reality series streaming on Netflix, produced by Smriti Mundra. Its third season premiered in April 2023.
