Actress Celina Jaitley has urged women to consider signing a prenuptial agreement before marriage, especially if they have personal property. In an exclusive interview with India TodayThe actor stressed the importance of financial independence and said that relationships may start with love, but if the marriage ends then financial matters can become a source of conflict.
talking to India Today Gaurav Sawant, 44, advised women to protect their hard-earned property and assets about the need for a prenup. She said, “I would advise girls to please pre-up if you have your own property. Please pre-up before marriage. Always keep your property separate. Because, you know, it all boils down to property. All the love, all the care, all the promises of togetherness, children, death, birth, everything turns into a property at the end of the day. And that is the biggest pain in my heart.”

This advice from Celina comes amid her ongoing divorce battle with husband Peter Haag. Earlier, during the same conversation, Jaitley had recalled receiving a divorce notice in Austria just before his 15th wedding anniversary, saying the document was read out to him by his twin sons. No entry The actor initially thought the letter was from the municipality or related to her state of residence, and even joked with her husband asking whether the authorities had sent her some money.
He said the notice, which he said was sent in the guise of an anniversary gift, contained allegations against him and said the marriage had suffered “irreparable damage”.

Jaitley married Austrian entrepreneur Peter Haag in 2010. The couple have twin sons, Winston and Viraj, born in 2012, and another son, Arthur, born in 2017. He has earlier spoken about losing his son Shamsher due to heart disease.
