According to the latest speculations, the Inimal singer is set to sing one of the four songs for Vijay Sethupathi’s upcoming Tamil film Train. Director and composer Mysskin is involved in both directing and composing the music for this film. For those unaware, Shruti Haasan previously worked with Makkal Selvan in SP Jananathan’s 2021 Tamil action drama, Laabam.

As an actor, Shruti was last seen in Prashanth Neel’s Telugu action thriller Salaar: Part 1-Ceasefire. Her next film is Shenil Dev’s debut directorial Dacoit. The Vedalam actress is also a part of Salaar Part 2. The film is currently under production and is scheduled to release in April 2025.

Moreover, a recent social media post suggested the actor-singer’s joining Lokesh Kanagaraj’s big-budget film Coolie, also starring Thalaivar Rajinikanth.

Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan is going through a rough patch in his film career. He has received praise for his performance in Nag Ashwin’s science-fiction dystopian film Kalki 2898 AD, but his recent much-awaited release Indian 2 has received a mixed response at the box office, grossing just 68 crores in 6 days.

Next, the veteran actor is gearing up for the gangster action drama Thug Life, directed by Mani Ratnam, in which he is serving as both the actor and co-producer.

The film stars the Kalki actor along with Silambarasan, Trisha Krishnan, Joju George, Nassar, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sanya Malhotra, Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi and others in pivotal roles. Thug Life marks the reunion of Haasan and Ratnam after the 1987 cult film Nayakan. The film is targeted for a late 2024 release.
