Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur have worked together in several films. But whenever their fans see them together, they are reminded of their scintillating on-screen chemistry in the 2013 romantic musical drama film Aashiqui 2. Today, on September 24, when the stars reunited for an event in Mumbai, the rain gods made a sudden appearance, reminding their fans of the iconic scene from Mohit Suri’s film.
A while ago, a video of Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur chatting during an event in Mumbai went viral. In the clip, the stars can be seen having a private conversation and laughing. Soon after, they gave each other a warm hug and resumed work. The stars also wore black outfits. While The Night Manager star looked dapper in a three-piece suit paired with a tie and white shirt, the Stree 2 actress wore a black organza saree with a printed sleeveless blouse.

Soon after the video spread like wildfire, their ardent fans took to the comments section to underline that their meeting in the Mumbai rains reminded them of Aashiqui 2 and the scene where she covered herself with the hero’s jacket. “Shraddha and Aditya meeting again during the rains…..this reminds me of Aashiqui 2,” wrote a user, while another wrote, “Did anyone just notice or is it just me that not only are they both together but also Shraddha in the rain, Adi’s blazer and a saree. So iffy.”
Some people also wished that they get together in real life as well. The Anurag Basu directorial will release in theatres on November 29, 2024.
