talking to ANIShivaji explained that during his speech at the event, his intention was to urge women to wear appropriate clothing when appearing in public. He admitted that he used two unparliamentary words during the speech and later apologized for it. “At the Dhandora pre-release event, I had said don’t wear bad clothes, wear good clothes. If you want to go in public, go well dressed. At the same time, I said two unparliamentary words, and I apologized. But whatever I said, I stood by my statement. I really apologize to all the women who were affected,” Shivaji said.
Earlier, Shivaji had also issued a public apology admitting that his choice of words was inappropriate. Despite the apology, the Telangana State Commission for Women has taken suo motu cognizance of the issue. The Commission has summoned Shivaji for questioning to be held on December 17, 2025.
