‘She’s not interested’: Brittany Cartwright doesn’t want anything to do with Jax Taylor during The Valley S2 filming, says source

According to PEOPLE, popular TV personality Jax Taylor is all set to return to shooting The Valley for Season 2, the second season of which began filming earlier this summer after he completed in-patient treatment at a mental health facility. He was admitted to the facility after a long-term struggle with mental health after going through a difficult phase following his separation from his wife, Brittany Cartwright.

“Jax has spent the last 30 days in treatment and will be returning home this weekend,” a rep for The Valley star confirmed to PEOPLE on August 19. While ex-wife Cartwright supports Taylor’s decision to seek help for her troubled mental health, sources added that “she’s not interested in having anything to do with him.”

The former couple first met almost a decade ago in 2015. Since then, their relationship has been featured on Vanderpump Rules, its spinoff Jax & Brittany Take Kentucky, and most recently, The Valley. They married on June 29, 2019, and almost two years later, they welcomed their son, Cruz Michael Cauchi, on April 12, 2021.

News of their split broke ahead of The Valley’s Season 1 premiere in early February. At the premiere, Cartwright told People that she felt “a little relieved” since her split from Taylor and admitted she needed space to clear her mind.

According to People, sources close to the shooting of the second season of The Valley revealed that the former couple are currently not able to be in the same room or communicate peacefully. Furthermore, Cartwright is firm in her decision to move on and has received the support she needed from her friends and family.

The source also added, “There are two sides to every story, and Jax has his own ideas that will be addressed once he returns. Also, the second season will definitely be worth watching as viewers will witness all the explosive drama. It will be the most unpredictable, no-holds-barred season ever on reality television.”

Season 1 of The Valley saw viewers disagree on a number of issues as Taylor and Cartwright struggled to find peace, including trying for another baby. While The Valley Season 1 is now streaming on Peacock, get ready to see some special fun, drama, and maybe even romance (we really hope so) in the show’s second season.
