Former television personality Jonathan Keith Gosselin, better known as Jon Gosselin, has complicated family relationships. He recently revealed that his current girlfriend stays in touch with his family.
Although he is not speaking to them, his current girlfriend Stephanie LeBow is in touch with his ex-wife Kate Gosselin and their eight children. Let’s see what Gosselin has to say about his family dynamics and how they work.
How does this surprising line of communication work?
“Everything seems fine,” Gosselin said about the equation on the Dom Nati Show on Thursday (July 18). He further added that there are very few casual conversations between Stephanie and her estranged family.
“They just said, ‘Hi,’ or something like that … like, ‘Hey, I’m with your daughter,’ or ‘Hey, you’re with my daughter,'” the Jon & Kate Plus 8 star explained.
About communicating with her children, Gosselin said it might be easier for them to talk to a third person who is fully integrated into my life. She added, “It might be easier to talk to someone who is with me but isn’t me.”

Two of Gosselin and Kate’s children, Hannah and Collin, both 20, live with them while the other six live with their mother. They have all spoken to LeBow “once or twice” as well. “It’s not like a full conversation, but more like an introduction,” he said.
Gosselin also revealed that Kate sees their current relationship as “long-term” and that’s probably why she wants to get to know LeBow better because she will impact her children’s lives. “Maybe she’s just worried, but it happened.”
In addition, Gosselin revealed that he wants to propose to Stephanie before Thanksgiving. He revealed that they would like to have a small, private wedding first, followed by a larger celebration. Gosselin also revealed that all of his children will receive wedding invitations, even though their relationship is strained.
“I don’t understand why they wouldn’t get an invitation. Whether they come or not will be up to them because they are adults now and can make their own adult decisions.”

TLC’s Jon & Kate Plus 8, which ran from 2007 to 2017, helped Gosselin and Kate gain popularity. The show featured the couple as they try to raise their unexpectedly large family, which includes six children Hannah, Alexis, Aaden, Collin, Leah, and Joel, as well as 23-year-old twins Mady and Cara. After Gosselin and Kate divorced in 2009, the program was relaunched as Kate Plus 8. Following their divorce, Kate was given primary care of their younger children. However, in 2018, Gosselin was granted custody of Hannah and Collin.
