Shekhar Kapur praised Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar, called it a wonderful story
Filmmaker Shekhar Kapur has praised Dhurandhar for its story and acting. He congratulated producer Jyoti Deshpande and said that he is looking forward to “#Dhurandhar2”.
Filmmaker Shekhar Kapur has joined the growing list of industry voices praising Ranveer Singh-starrer Dhurandhar. Kapoor shared his thoughts on X after watching the film on Netflix and praised its story, performances and director Aditya Dhar’s vision.
Kapoor wrote, “Finally watched #Dhurandhar on Netflix. Great story and very high level performances even in small roles.” He also congratulated producer Jyoti Deshpande and hinted at the future of the film, saying that he is looking forward to “Dhurandhar 2”.
When a fan asked Kapoor why he did not see the film in the theatre, he replied, “I am in Dubai where it was not released.”
Kapoor’s support comes at a time when Dhurandhar is in the news not only for its box office performance but also for its scale, ambition and the rise of undeniably flawed heroes in mainstream Hindi cinema.
