Shefali Shah says she was very happy about Delhi Crime 3 and was crying with relief
Shefali Shah shared that she was “scared” before Delhi Crime 3 went off the air, she was not sure whether the audience would accept her non-brave side of Vartika. However, the subsequent “surge” of love caused the actor to be “overjoyed and started crying with relief.”
Shefali Shah recently dedicated a gratitude letter to the audience for accepting her character in ‘Delhi Crime Season 3’. In her long post she also admitted that she was scared before the release of the show.
Shefali wrote in her Instagram post, “Before ‘Delhi Crime 3’ released I was scared of the understatement of the century. I played a different side of Vartika this time. She felt pain and anger with equal and greater intensity, but instead of showing it, she channeled it into finding the girls. All situations require one aspect that is more prevalent than others.”
He further added, “Some situations need to be handled with strength, some with strength, some with command, some with force and some with such, with compassion and empathy. This time there was no pretense, it was just perseverance and a relentless effort to find the girls and do what she believes she was born to do, to protect, to protect and to get justice.”
“When I watched the show itself, I didn’t know if you would be able to watch my version of Vartika and love her as much as last time. Sometimes the theatrics, the theatrics, the heightened emotions are considered a good performance. But I wasn’t performing, I was just being her, and that’s how she felt. I didn’t know whether this side of Vartika, without her bravery, would be successful or not,” the actor added.

She insisted, “But when the show closed and I read the reviews, I was so happy and started crying with relief. But then your love started pouring in. You not only understood her, but you felt her, remained devoted to her, supported her and accepted her with an open heart. You didn’t just watch her pass every moment, you would live it with her and me. You made me realize two things: We don’t often give enough credit to the audience’s intelligence and sensitivity.”
“I am blessed to have received so much love. Truly. I am overwhelmed beyond words. I am more grateful and humbled than I can show. And these are too few words to express what I feel for you, but just thank you. Thank you so much. I am truly blessed to have your love and blessings. Forever indebted, yours Shefali. Shefali plays DCP Vartika Chaturvedi in ‘Delhi Crime 3’, who returns to expose the sinister human trafficking nexus. In the new season, she faces off against a ruthless queenpin, played by Huma Qureshi.
