Shalini Pasi on being an ‘It’ girl: Thought people wouldn’t like extremism
Socialite Shalini Pasi attended a session at Business Today’s Most Powerful Women in Business event in Mumbai, where she talked about her emergence as an ‘It’ girl after her appearance in the Netflix show Fabulous Lives Vs Bollywood Wives.

Art collector and now a reality TV star, Shalini Pasi, was in attendance at Business Today’s Most Powerful Women in Business 2024 event in Mumbai on Friday, November 8. Shalini talked about the fame that she got after appearing in the Netflix reality show. , Fabulous Lives vs. Bollywood Wives. The 48-year-old talked about pursuing her passion and revealed that she never thought of becoming an ‘It’ girl after the show.
After its release last month, the Delhi socialite has emerged as one of the most loved ladies of the series. He underlined the importance of trusting yourself and not deviating from what you truly believe in. Shalini said at the event, “I never wanted to be an ‘It’ girl because I’m not an ‘It’ girl. It’s my personal style. I was just having fun. I thought people wouldn’t like it because It’s a bit maximalist. The makeup artist told me not to put so many clips, but that’s all I wanted.”
Shalini appreciated working with other stars of Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives. She revealed that it was the comfort provided by fellow girls that made her say yes to the show. She shared, “These amazing women made it so easy for us – they’ve worked for 5-6 years. If I hadn’t known them for years and been comfortable, I wouldn’t have done it.”
The popular art collector said that the world of OTT was new to her, and that is why she wanted to explore it. She said, “I live for new experiences. I am more inclined towards art and design in my life. It was exciting to be in front of the camera. OTT, camera – it was new to me.”
Shalini talked about being responsible and how the opportunity to do the show gave her a different idea of working. He concluded, “It was the first time I worked for someone instead of for myself. I had to be responsible and it made me grow up a little bit more.”
