Shakira surprised attendees at the Los Angeles premiere of ‘Zootopia 2’ by appearing on the red carpet with her two sons, Milan and Sasha. The trio wore coordinated purple outfits, attracting attention from the press and fans.

The singer, who returns to voice Gazelle in the animated sequel, shared that her sons played a key role in the production of the film.

During the premiere, Shakira said that Milan and Sasha were involved throughout the production. He explained that his children were too young for the first ‘Zootopia’, but for the sequel, they observed and participated in the creative process.

Shakira said, “I’m really happy to be in such good company tonight. When I did ‘Zootopia 1’, they were just kids. For ‘Zootopia 2’, they came and watched the whole process with me. They’ve seen me write parts of the song ‘Zoo’ in ‘Zootopia 2’.”

He has also seen the development of Gazelle with me. She has a lot of opinions because she is very opinionated, like her mother. So yes, they were really a part of it, and so I’m happy to have them here. He also played a small role in the film as ‘Bunnies’.”

Shakira recently released a music video for ‘Zoo’. The video, directed by Hannah Lux Davis, features scenes inspired by her character Gazelle, as well as footage from the film.

The music video displays various settings from the film, such as the Zootennial Gala, the Zootopia Express, and a dramatic cliffhanger. Animated characters featured include Gazelle, Judy Hopps, Nick Wilde, Gary D’Snake and Nibbles Maplestick.

The film’s score is composed by Academy Award winner Michael Giacchino and will be available as part of the full soundtrack on November 21.

‘Zootopia 2’ follows Judy Hopes and Nick Wilde as they “find themselves on the entangled path of a great mystery when Gary D’Snake arrives in Zootopia and turns the animal metropolis upside down. To solve the case, Judy and Nick must go undercover in unexpected new parts of the city, where their growing partnership is tested as never before.”

In addition to Shakira, the voice cast includes Ginnifer Goodwin, Jason Bateman, Andy Samberg, Idris Elba, Patrick Warburton, Quinta Brunson, and Nate Torrance. The film is directed by Jared Bush and Byron Howard, with Yvette Marino producing.

‘Zootopia 2’ is scheduled to release on November 28 in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
