Shahid Kapoor has questioned why Cocktail 2 got an A certificate despite it being considered suitable for family viewing. The issue has come to light with the cast denying rumors about a gay storyline and a physical threesome.

Actor Shahid Kapoor has reacted to his new release Cocktail 2 being given an A certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The film, directed by Homi Adajania, starring actresses Rashmika Mandanna and Kriti Sanon, was released on June 19. During a social media interaction with fans, Shahid questioned the adult rating and insisted that there was nothing objectionable in the film.

While interacting with his followers, Shahid said,There’s nothing you can dislike about this movie. I know we got the adult certificate; I am finding out the reason. I did not fit into the society. This film is the story of three people. can watch with everyone. (There is nothing in this film that you would object to. I don’t understand why we got an A-rating. This is a story about three people that everyone can watch).” He also said that he hopes that the audience will walk out of the theater with a big smile on their faces after watching the film.

Ahead of the release, the team also addressed the ongoing speculations regarding the film’s story. Such rumors were going on for some time cocktail 2 It will feature a budding love story between Rashmika and Kriti’s characters. After the trailer was released, some viewers also picked up the word “threesome” and wondered if the film was about polygamy. Responding to this, Kriti said, “There is no lesbian story,” while Rashmika said, “I know, we have that chemistry.” Kriti further added, “Guys, we are three straight people. This is just an emotional threesome, not a physical one.”

cocktail 2 Directed by Homi Adajania, co-written by Luv Ranjan and Tarun Jain, and produced by Dinesh Vijan, Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg under Maddock Films and Luv Films. Shahid plays Kunal, Rashmika plays Dia and Kriti plays Ally in the film, which is the story of a long-term couple whose relationship is shaken when a third person enters.

India Today, in its review of the film, wrote, “In short, cocktail 2 It’s a beautiful looking love story with surprisingly little love in it. By the end, you’ll remember the songs, the locations, and the costumes, but you’ll probably forget the characters and the story.”
