Veteran actor Shabana Azmi joins the Emraan Hashmi-Disha Patani led cast vagrancy 2. Producer Vishesh Bhatt announced that Azmi will play a negative character named Nafisa in the film.

In vagrancy 2Writer Bilal Siddiqui first envisioned the role as a quietly authoritative presence in the criminal world, whose entry changes the story in unexpected ways and has a direct impact on the life of Shivam (Emraan Hashmi’s character).

Siddiqui developed the psychology, menace, and narrative weight of the character, but the question of how the role would look, sound, and feel remained open. Bhatt then reworked the role by placing a woman in Shivam’s world, a move that changed the dynamics of the story. Then this character was conceived as Nafisa.

Joined the cast of Azmi vagrancy 2 On his birthday, September 18, 2025. According to the producers, her arrival helped define Nafisa’s place in the film. The development also holds a personal dimension, as the Bhatt family and Azmi have shared a long association through films, interactions and industry ties over the years.
