NEW DELHI: Some stocks fell more than 5 percent in Mumbai trade even as the equity benchmark BSE Sensex fell 16.82 points to trade at 80,065.16 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, the losers were KPIT Tech (down 13.68 percent), AVI Products India (13.56 percent), LT Foods (13.52 percent), Shivam Chemicals (12.56 percent) and Niwaka Fashions (down 12.10 percent). Among the top losers in today’s trade.
In the Nifty pack, 24 stocks closed in the green, while 26 stocks closed in the red.
The index closed down 36.1 points at 24399.4.
On BSE, Rajneesh Wellness, Yash Chemex Ltd., Pharmides Pharm, Riddhi Corp. Services and Goldstone Tech touched their fresh 52-week lows, while Care Rating, Piramal Pharma, Mohite Industries, Shree Rajiv Lochan Oil Extraction Ltd and Omega AG. -Seeds hit a new 52-week high in today’s trade.
