plot:
Jassi (Ajay Devgan), after finally receiving his visa, travels to the UK to reconcile with his wife, Dimple (Neeru Bajwa). However, Dimple wants divorce, as he has found someone else. Jassi is surprised by his decision and ends staying at a friend’s house after his wife is rejected.
She later meets Rabia (Mrinal Thakur) and eventually becomes a payment guest in her place, where she lives with three other women of Pakistani origin. The youngest of them want to marry a Sikh boy, but their multi-dollar family is not ready to accept a girl whose background is not clear.
Jassi agrees to pose as his father, pretending to be a Sikh colonel in the Indian Army, while Rabia plays her mother. Will his act celebrate the boy’s family, or will the truth be revealed that Jassi is not a Colonel and Rabia is Pakistani? Look at the son of Sardar 2 to find out this.
What works for Sardar 2’s son
The son of Sardar 2 looks alive, blind. The UK’s background enhances the form and experience of the film. The dress-comedy claims a good music album that has a mixture of old as well as new tracks. With new tracks, Nazar Battu and Pehla Tu Duja Tu immediately attacked a raga. There are some comedy scenes, especially in the climax towards the end of the film, which bounce real laughter. Stancing on these, the son of Sardar 2 was left a lot to be desired.
What does Sardar 2’s son not work
The story is told to the son of Sardar 2 and the jokes do not descend well. The story is dated and the screenplay is scattered. Actor tries hard to bring out comedy but most of them fail to do so. There are plenty of sequences, such as Jassi tries to enter the tank, or where he is asked to target empty bottles, which fails to bring out any laughter, and instead spreads the already spread film.
India Pakistan jokes become meaningless after a point, and some dialogues fall into the lowly aggressive category. The biggest issue of Sardar 2’s son is that it never feels like Sardar’s son’s sequel. There is nothing about the sequel that will remind you of the first film. When a proper connection is not established, the new film begins to be interested in taper. If there were some elements from the first part that were maintained in the other, it would be seen as at least one good apathy. Now, it neither classifies as a good apathy, nor is it enough to see it as a pleasant family comedy.

Demonstration in son of Sardar 2
Ajay Devgan provides a weak performance in the form of Jassi. There is no spark in his character and comedy does not just land. The actor looks good as a Sarda and it is all positive. Mrinal Thakur is fine as Rabia. The weak script does not serve him well. Ravi Kishan did his work as a king. Vindu Dara Singh and Mukul Dev do not have that nature in the first son of the film Sardar.
Deepak Dobiyal is very good as Gul. He is responsible for most of the film’s laughter. Chunky Pandey does not get much to leave a permanent impression as Danish. He goes for Sanjay Mishra. Kubra Sait and Ronnie Walia do whatever they can do with a limited scope of their stigma. Neeru Bajwa is ruined as Dimple. Dolly Ahluwalia in his small way added gravitus to the film. Other actors of the film are decent.
Sardar 2’s son’s final decision
Sardar 2’s son is an unfortunate follow -up for Sardar’s son. The film never really finds its groove, depending on the dated jokes that do not make you laugh. The film is in its best performance in the last 25 minutes. Long climax with a wedding background, succeeds in bringing some chakli. But by then, most can be left on the film already.
The son of Sardar 2 now plays in theaters. Stay on Pinkvilla for more updates.
