Sara Ali Khan was nervous about working in Atrangi Re
After giving two hits with her debut film Kedarnath and second Simmba, her third film Love Aaj Kal opposite Kartik Aaryan flopped. After this film, Sara Ali Khan faced criticism for her acting skills, after which she had to admit that she had cheated with this film.
Speaking to Mid-Day, the actress claimed that Love Aaj Kal was her mistake as she felt she did not perform well. She further added that the film not doing well helped her as it could have been easy for her to go off track after the success of Kedarnath and Simmba.
Sara felt very bad about not getting appreciation for her work after Love Aaj Kal and then when she was offered Atrangi Re, she called Anand L Rai. She told him, “Atrangi Re is a great script. The character is great. Are you sure you don’t want to call Alia Bhatt (for this role)?” She admitted that she was nervous but doing this film helped her to pick herself up and bounce back.
