The ongoing Lakme Fashion Week x FDCI is nothing less than a style treat for fashionistas in every corner of India. But the fourth day of the prestigious fashion event saw a spectacular parade, with Sara Ali Khan turning showstopper for Varun Chakkilam. Sara looked like true royalty in a heavily embellished silver lehenga set. The outfit took almost 1000 hours to create, representing the designer’s recently launched collection Lenora. The outfit featured glass beaded work, aari embroidery and zardozi detailing overall. In an exclusive conversation with NDTV Swirlster’s Krupa Koshy, Sara opened up about her experience of walking at Lakme Fashion Week this year. But that’s not all, the star revealed that she has a passion for stealing style items from film sets.

Experience Lakme Fashion Week this year
Sara Ali Khan’s Assassination of Mubarak premiered on Netflix on March 15. The actress, who is also busy promoting it aye watan mere watanSara said that walking at Lakme Fashion Week was a fun change from her busy schedule. “Honestly, it’s always fun. But this month it’s been a little hectic. I have two films – one released and one about to release – so I’ve been a little busy. So it was kind of nice and fun to do this apart from the promotional events,” Sara said.

Sara Ali Khan’s style statement reflects her love for lehengas. Be it the red carpet or the festive season, Sara’s love for lehengas leaves a trail of inspiration for the wedding season. So when we asked Sara about her favourite lehenga, the actress said that “a good lehenga should suit your mood”.
Talking about her favourite lehenga, Sara said, "I think it really depends on what you need. You may want to feel hot to young, beautiful and comfortable. A good lehenga should suit your mood."

When asked what one thing she would like to steal from her brother Ibrahim Ali Khan's wardrobe, Sara Ali Khan confessed that it wouldn't be a piece of clothing. The actress said, "I would steal Ibrahim's inherent style, swag and sense of confidence. If I could have just that, I wouldn't need to steal anything."
