Samsung’s Galaxy S26 series is expected to arrive next month, with the launch likely to take place on February 25. Ahead of the much-awaited debut, leaks about the upcoming flagship lineup have intensified. Details about pricing, storage upgrades, and regional differences are leaking, giving us a clear idea of what Samsung is planning for the Galaxy S26, S26 Plus, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. Although some of the leaked upgrades look promising, prices are likely to increase in some markets.
According to multiple leaks, including a report from tipster Roland Quandt, Samsung may be raising the prices of the Galaxy S26 series, and the change is likely due to the change in storage. As Apple did with the iPhone 17 series as it increased the starting price while offering higher base storage, Samsung is expected to follow a comparable approach.

The standard Galaxy S26 is expected to start with 256GB of storage, which will double the base 128GB offered on the Galaxy S25. While this is a worthwhile upgrade on paper, it could also lead to higher prices in many markets.

According to the report, in Europe, specifically Sweden, the Galaxy S26 could cost around €200 more than the Galaxy S25 base model. Higher starting storage is believed to be the main reason behind this jump, and even the 512GB variant is expected to cost more than before.

However, the Galaxy S26 Plus may avoid a similar price jump. Reports suggest that the 256GB variant may be priced in line with the Galaxy S25 Plus in the same configuration, making it the most price-compliant model in the lineup.

The prices of Galaxy S26 Ultra will be shocking

Interestingly, the flagship Galaxy S26 Ultra may move in the opposite direction, at least in some European markets. According to leaked prices, the base S26 Ultra could be around €100 cheaper than last year’s Galaxy S25 Ultra. The 512GB model is also expected to arrive at a lower price than its predecessor, while the top-end 1TB variant may remain priced the same.

That said, Samsung is unlikely to offer a free storage upgrade during pre-orders this year.

Samsung S26 series global market prices

If we look at the prices of the Regina in South Korea, local reports claim that Samsung may increase the prices of the Galaxy S26 lineup by KRW 44,000 to KRW 88,000 compared to the S25 series. While the increase isn’t huge, it will still be noticeable in a market where Samsung has largely avoided aggressive increases.

We may see more familiar figures in the US at launch, with early leaks suggesting prices of around $800 for the Galaxy S26, $1,000 for the S26 Plus, and $1,300 for the S26 Ultra. These could be the starting prices associated with the initial launch offer.

Meanwhile, pricing in India remains unclear. The Galaxy S25 series is priced starting at Rs 80,999 for the base model, Rs 99,999 for the Plus, and Rs 1,29,999 for the Ultra. With storage upgrades and hardware improvements expected, a slight price increase would not be surprising.

Apart from pricing, the Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus are expected to retain the familiar camera hardware, while the S26 Ultra may see upgrades like faster 60W wired charging, better wireless charging, and a larger battery, all in a slimmer design.

One thing to note is that these details are still based on leaks and speculation, and nothing has been officially confirmed by Samsung yet. However, with the expected launch now just a few weeks away, Samsung will soon start teasing the upgrade and confirming the official price. As Evan Blass reports, the series is rumored to arrive during 2026’s Galaxy Unpacked event on February 25.
