Samsung has finally released its next generation flagship series – the Samsung Galaxy S25 series. The company has launched 3 phones: Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra. But this is not the case. The much-awaited slim variant of the series was also teased during the launch – the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge will have a flat design and dual rear cameras. Apart from that, all other details for Edge are still under wraps. Priced at a starting price of Rs 80,999, this series comes with advanced features compared to its predecessor. Galaxy AI is one of the standout features. For example, this series is the first to come with Gemini as the default AI assistant, something that was exclusive to Google phones only. Let’s dive deeper to learn more about these upgrades.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Series AI-Features
Gemini AI Assistant: This isn’t the first time that Google’s Gemini has been integrated into a Samsung phone, but it is the first time that the Gemini series has had its default AI assistant. It already enables users to perform multiple tasks on apps like YouTube, Google Maps, Gmail, and Spotify. But now, with the Samsung Galaxy S25 series, Gemini has expanded its capabilities to integrate with Samsung apps, including Samsung Calendar, Notes, Reminders, and Clock.

Users can now use Gemini to handle multiple tasks in a single prompt. For example, if you need high-protein lunch ideas, you can ask Gemini for recipes and save them directly to Samsung Notes or Google Keep.
To make Gemini even more accessible on Galaxy S25 devices, simply long press the side button to summon it for assistance or interact with content on your screen. Additionally, for advanced users, access to Deep Research in the Gemini mobile app will launch later this week, offering a powerful tool to save time on research even while on the go.

Gemini Live: Gemini Live now offers an even more dynamic conversation experience, enabling users to engage in natural, free-flowing chat while incorporating images, files and YouTube videos into their conversations.

This upgraded version of Gemini Live is also being launched for the Samsung Galaxy S24 and S25 series as well as Pixel 9 devices. Additionally, Google plans to introduce Project Astra features, including screen sharing and live video streaming, to the Gemini mobile app on Android and Samsung Galaxy S25 in the coming months.
Circle to find: This Google AI-feature was first introduced in the Samsung Galaxy S24 series. And now with the new series in town, Samsung wants to take it up a notch. The feature will now automatically identify phone numbers, email addresses, and URLs, making it easier for users to interact with them. Additionally, AI overview in search results has been enhanced to support a wider range of visual search queries. This increases the likelihood that using Circle to search on an image of a location, artwork, or object will yield AI observations in the results.

Abbreviation: A standout feature is the Brief tool, which provides personalized daily summaries. Morning information includes the weather forecast, your schedule for the day, and an energy score if you’re using a Samsung wearable device. During your commute, it automatically starts navigation and plays music as you sit in your vehicle. In the evening, it summarizes your day, highlighting key activities and showcasing memorable moments through photo collages.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 series is available for pre-order from January 23, 2025 through all leading online and offline retailers. Customers can also pre-order directly on Samsung’s official India website. The devices are set to go on sale from February 7, 2025.
