Samsung is all set to launch its Galaxy S25 series on January 22, 2025, and fresh details from Brazilian publication, Technoblog, have given us a clear picture of what to expect. The upcoming devices promise some interesting upgrades, especially in AI and camera technology, which could be a big attraction for users.

According to the leak, as expected, the main attraction of the Galaxy S25 Ultra will be its camera setup. It retains the 200-megapixel primary camera and 50-megapixel periscope with 5x optical zoom from the previous Ultra model, as well as the 10-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. The big upgrade here is the 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera in place of the old 12-megapixel sensor. This change comes after some criticism of the performance of the previous model’s ultra-wide camera. Like other models, the front-facing camera will have a 12-megapixel sensor.

As far as stamina is concerned, the Galaxy S25 Ultra will pack a 5,000 mAh battery. Samsung claims it can do up to 31 hours of video playback, which is the same as previous models in the Ultra range. On the other hand, the Galaxy S25+ and S25 will share a similar camera setup, which will include a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 10-megapixel 3x telephoto lens, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera. Both devices will have a 12-megapixel front camera for selfies. The S25+ will retain the same 4,900 mAh battery as its predecessor, which will ensure up to 30 hours of video playback.

All phones in the Galaxy S25 series will reportedly be powered by the new Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, paired with 12GB of RAM as standard, which should deliver solid performance for day-to-day tasks, multitasking, and gaming.

Apart from the hardware upgrades, the leak suggests that Samsung will introduce new AI features in the upcoming Galaxy S25 series. One of the key features is the Summary feature, which provides a personalized summary of your day. Morning Briefing will give you the weather forecast, your daily schedule, and energy score if you have a Samsung wearable device. During your commute, it will start navigation and music playback when you enter your vehicle, and the evening summary will provide an overview of your daily activity including memorable moments in the form of a photo collage.

Additionally, the integration of Google’s Gemini AI Assistant with Samsung’s own apps is a solid development. Users will now be able to ask Gemini to read content from apps like YouTube and interact with Samsung apps like Samsung Notes. This opens up new possibilities for voice-powered interactions and seamless integration between Samsung’s software and Google’s AI technology.

Although the Galaxy S25 series doesn’t bring any major new designs, these updates give us an idea of how serious the company is when it comes to AI and camera enhancements.
