Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge may be launched on this day: thickness, weight, chipset details leaked
Samsung showed a glimpse of the Galaxy S25 Edge-this is the iPhone 17 air contestant-at the Galaxy Unpacked Event in January. However, the device is yet to be launched officially. Now, a leak claims to reveal the possible date of launch of the S25 edge.

One of the most exciting smartphone launch of 2025 is Samsung’s thinnest smartphone -Gaalaxy S25 Edge. It is previously believed that the Galaxy S25 slim was named, at the Galaxy Unpacked event in January, Samsung shared a glimpse of the phone and revealed that it would be called the Galaxy S25 Age. For old Samsung fans, it also brought a hit of apathy with the return of “Age”. Samsung’s Old Edge Series, which started with the Galaxy Note Edge in 2014, first introduced curved displays, which eventually became a signature design for premium galaxy phones.
With the enthusiasm of the thinnest phone and edge apathy in the mix, there is a growing expectation around the phone. Samsung may confirm the phone at the Galaxy Unpacked event, however, the company still has not announced the official date of launch for the phone. However, the latest leaked Galaxy S25 claims to reveal the launch date for the edge. According to a mysmartprice, the device was recently listed on Geekbench, which revealed that the phone could be launched in the second quarter of 2025 -which are the months of April, May and June.
This in line with previous rumors that suggested that the Galaxy S25 Edge would be launched in the month of May.
Additionally, leak listing on Geekbench also shows that the Galaxy S25 Edge will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Chipset and 12 GB RAM. The listing also claims that the phone will run Android 15-based Vanue 7. Allegedly, the device will have an eight-core CPU feature, with six core at 3.53GHz and two core at 4.47GHz.
The main attraction of the Galaxy 25 Edge is clearly going to be its form factor. According to reports, the smartphone is going to be only 6 mm thick. Interestingly, SmartPrix has a separate report that updated its previous report that the device would be about 6 mm thick. The report now claimed that the device may be as thin as 5.8 mm. For perspective, the iPhone 16 is 7.8 mm thick, and the Galaxy S25 is 7.2 mm thick.
Additionally, the weight of the Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to be less than 162g. The iPhone 16 weighs 170g and the Galaxy S25 weighs 162g.
