Introduction

Reviewing flagships is always fun, but the reality is that most people will never need to get a full-fledged flagship. Plus, midrangers are usually the heart of every lineup. They sell the highest number ever. It’s really hard to get a perfect midranger, which is probably why most manufacturers are quite timid with their generational upgrades these days.

That said, Samsung has taken sneaky to a whole new level recently. In fact, we could even say that the Korean giant is absolutely stable in its 2026 lineup, but that’s a whole different conversation.

What we mean to say is that the Galaxy A37 hasn’t really changed much compared to the A36. The most obvious change is arguably the move from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset last year to the Samsung-made Exynos 1480 this year. In addition, Samsung originally designed some new colors and made it successful. Another way to look at it is that Samsung is basically re-releasing a slightly modified version of the Galaxy A55 ahead of the A37 from 2024.

We really wish there was something more important to report here. Unfortunately, the Galaxy A37 remains predictable and even a little boring. Still, continuity is not intrinsically bad. If you’re doing well, why rock the boat?

Regardless of whether or not anything major changes, we’ll still be keeping a close eye on the Galaxy A37 and keeping an eye on its progress as always.

unbox

The Galaxy A37 comes in a simple, two-piece cardboard box. In typical Samsung fashion, the box is quite thin but still sturdy enough to keep the phone safe. There is no plastic anywhere in this package, which is good from an eco-friendly perspective.

There isn’t much in the way of an accessory package, which is hardly surprising. You will not get a charger in the box. The Galaxy A37 is rated for 45W charging, so you’ll have to go out and get yourself a compatible PD+PPS charger. You get a thin and relatively short white USB Type-C to Type-C cable. This is a regular 3A cable, nothing fancy about it.
