Samsung has finally launched the A17 5G in India. The phone was already on sale in select global markets. The phone targets the midrange segment and brings AI features at an affordable cost.

Samsung claims that the A17 5G core AI brings to find features such as Gemini Live and Circle. The handset has a simple design with a triple-camera set-up at the back.

Primary camera is a 50-megapixel sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS). The A17 5G also has a 5-megapixel ultravide and a 2-megapixel macro camera. The selfie camera is a 13-megapixel unit. The phone does not support 4K recording.

The Samsung A17 5G 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED comes with a tearful rung. The latest rate is 90Hz. The display gets Corning Gorilla Glass Victus Protection. The device has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

The A17 5G packs 5,000mAh battery with the support of 25W charging. The thickness of the device is 7.5 mm and weighs 192g. Samsung claims that the device is the thinnest in its segment. The phone also gets an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance.

The Samsung A17 5G Exynos 1330 is powered by chipset. The phone comes with an option up to 6GB or 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage.

The device comes out of the box with a UI 7 based on Android 15. A series of Samsung comes with all one UI features including NOX Security. A17 5G will get 6 years old OS updates and 6 -year security patch.

Samsung A17 5G comes in three colors – terrible black, terrible blue and terrible gray.

A17 5G is now on sale. The phone starts at Rs 18,999 for 6GB/128GB variants. The price of 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB variants is Rs 20,499 and Rs 23,499 respectively.
