Samantha on her chemistry with Varun Dhawan: Action scenes feel like romantic songs
Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu revealed her unique experience of filming action scenes with Varun Dhawan. She said that their chemistry was effortless and like a romantic song.
Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu shared her unique experience of filming an action scene with Bollywood star Varun Dhawan. According to Prabhu, the synergy between her and Dhawan during the shoot was so seamless that it looked like the choreography of a romantic song.
Samantha and Varun attended the teaser launch event of ‘Citadel: Honey Bunny’ where they spoke about working with each other. The ‘Kushi’ actress shed light on her rapport with Varun and said, “When we used to do action, it actually felt like a dance. We discussed that action feels like a romantic song because there was a lot of rapport. I never had that kind of rapport. Raj and DK, being Raj and DK, love long shots. They don’t say cut, and it just goes on.”
Varun then added, “I think there is an 11 or 12 minute one-take action sequence in the show.” Samantha further added, “Both of us, the cameraman and everyone has to be in perfect sync and I have never felt such chemistry with anyone. I believe it shows. I shouldn’t say it myself, but that action sequence is really special and it was absolutely beautiful to make.”

Prime Video launched the teaser of ‘Citadel Honey Bunny’ on August 1. Raj and DK’s spy thriller stars Varun Dhawan and Samantha in the lead roles. Apart from the teaser, the makers have announced the premiere date of the series as November 7.
The first season of ‘Citadel’, featuring Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas, along with Stanley Tucci and Lesley Manville, will premiere globally in 2023. Within 24 days of its release, it became Prime Video’s second most-watched new original series outside the US and the fourth most-watched series worldwide.
The Italian original, ‘Citadel: Diana’, will be the second series to debut in the world of Citadel and will launch on October 10, 2024.
This will be followed by Bharat’s series ‘Citadel: Honey Bunny’ starring Varun Dhawan and Samantha in the lead roles, which will premiere on November 7, 2024.
The second season of ‘Citadel’, starring Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas, will begin production this year, which will be directed by Joe Russo.
