Salman Khan incident, Kannappa trailer launch was postponed after Ahmedabad aircraft accident
The incident of Salman Khan and the ‘Kannappa’ trailer launch was closed on Thursday afternoon after an Air India flight to London exactly five minutes after the takeoff from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad.

In view of the tragic Air India plane accident in Ahmedabad, two major events in the entertainment world have been called as a mark of respect. The launch of the Indian Supercross Racing League by Salman Khan and the trailer launch of Kannappa has now been canceled in the light of the incident.
The organizers of the Indian Supercross Racing League, a few hours after the accident, decided to cancel the program. Ishaan Lokhande, the founder of the Indian Supercross Racing League, released a statement stating, “As we all heard the tragic incident today. Indian Supercross Racing League and Shri Salman Khan Nation united in this difficult time. All our summons and prayers are with affected families.”
Similarly, the trailer launch of ‘Kannappa’, which was slated to be in Indore on 13 June, has also been canceled.
The film consists of a contingent of actors including Akshay Kumar, Vishnu Manchu, Prabhas and Mohanlal, who was expected to attend the event.
The manufacturers of both events are expected to redeem the launch at a later date.
Five minutes after the take-off from Ahmedabad Airport on Thursday afternoon, Air India flight to London crashed. Aircraft, a Boeing 787–8 Dreamliner, known as Air India 171, was carrying 242 people, including 230 passengers and 12 crew members.
The scenes of the Meghani region, where the aircraft went down, showed thick black smoke in the sky. The captain had released a illusion call for air traffic control moments before the accident.
The aircraft released a call on the day of May 1 soon after departure, but immediately lost contact with air traffic control.
