Salman Khan recently received a new death threat asking him to apologize to the Bishnoi community temple or pay Rs 5 crore. The police have started their investigation to trace the person who sent the message. Now it has been revealed that a 32-year-old man claiming to be a fan of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi has been arrested in Karnataka.

According to a PTI report, a 32-year-old man accused of threatening to kill Salman Khan has been arrested in Karnataka. He has been identified as Bhikha Ram alias Vikram, resident of Jalore, Rajasthan. The accused was handed over to Maharashtra Police on November 6, 2024.

According to the agency, Haveri Superintendent of Police Anshu Kumar said that based on information from the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad, a person has been arrested in Haveri Town.

Police sources suggested that the man had come to Haveri about one and a half months ago after staying at various places in Karnataka. He had reportedly rented a room in Gaudar Oni and was working at construction sites.

The agency shared that a police source said, “The accused was watching a regional news channel when he suddenly called the Mumbai Police control room and threatened to kill Salman Khan. He is a daily wage laborer and claims to be a fan of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.

According to the source, this is a suspicious version of what happened but a detailed investigation will be conducted by the Mumbai Police.

Earlier it was reported that Mumbai Police Traffic Control Room had received a threatening message for Salman from a person claiming to be Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother. The message said, ‘If Salman Khan wants to stay alive then he should either apologize in our temple or give Rs 5 crore. If he doesn’t agree, we will kill him. Our gang is still active.”

Meanwhile, Salman Khan is busy shooting for his upcoming film Sikandar in Hyderabad. Co-starring Rashmika Mandanna, the action film is scheduled for theatrical release on Eid 2025.
