Actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked multiple times with a knife by a man at his Bandra home on Thursday. The 47-year-old is a prominent face in the country and has been working in both the Hindi and South Indian film industries. His injury may affect his work and the shooting schedules of many films are expected to be changed as per the actor’s recovery time.

The actor is currently busy shooting for Jewel Thief: The Red Sun Chapter. The film is directed by Siddharth Anand, who also visited him in the hospital. The actor has around eight films in the pipeline.

Early last year, it was announced that producer Ramesh Taurani had brought Saif back for the fourth installment of Race. The actor was a part of the first two Race films, after which Salman Khan took over the franchise in the third installment. Saif has not started shooting for Race 4 yet.

Actor Sandeep Reddy is also a part of Vanga’s Spirit, which stars Telugu superstar Prabhas in the lead role. Saif has increased his work in Tamil and Telugu film industries and Spirit is an important name in the list.

The popular actor will also be seen in Devara: Part 2 with Jr NTR. The film is directed by Kortala Siva and is the second part of the action film.

Other projects that Saif has reportedly signed include Click Shankar directed by Tamil director Balaji Mohan, a yet-to-be-titled film with Priyadarshan and Shootout at Byculla with Sanjay Gupta. There was speculation about him sharing the screen with his daughter Sara Ali Khan in a film. However, nothing has been confirmed about that project yet.

Meanwhile, in a statement earlier in the day, doctors told the media that the actor had been shifted to the ICU following his successful surgery. He was first taken for neuro surgery, during which a 3-inch long sharp object was removed from his body. Then he was taken for cosmetic surgery. The actor is out of danger and recovering.
