Saif Ali Khan was brutally attacked by an intruder who stabbed him multiple times on his neck and back. He was taken to Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent immediate surgery and is now out of danger. He is on the way to recovery. This shocking incident has left the film industry in complete shock. Close friends and family have been showing their support, with Sanjay Dutt, who is in touch with Saif’s family, visiting the hospital to inquire about his well-being.
A video of Sanjay Dutt is currently going viral in which he gets out of his car, shakes hands with someone and then enters Lilavati Hospital to meet his Parineeta co-star Saif Ali Khan.
Earlier, he was seen at Karisma Kapoor’s house, where he took updates about Saif’s health. Now, he has personally reached the hospital to check on the actor’s condition.
Saif Ali Khan’s mother, famous actress Sharmila Tagore, along with his sister Soha Ali Khan visited him at Lilavati Hospital today. After the heart-wrenching attack, family members came to inquire about Saif’s well-being.
On the morning of 16 January, the actor was attacked inside his Bandra apartment, where a robber attacked him with a knife six times in a row. He underwent two surgeries after the attack and is under medical observation.
Dr. Nitin Dange of Lilavati Hospital shared with the media that Saif will be monitored for the next day and a decision regarding his discharge will be taken in the next one to two days.
Mumbai Police has arrested 30-year-old Bangladeshi national Mohammad Shariful Islam Shahzad in connection with the stabbing of Saif. He has been sent to police custody for five days. Authorities plan to recreate the crime scene at Saif’s Bandra residence to better understand the sequence of events.
Shahzad, who had entered the Khan family’s house with the intention of committing theft, managed to reach the 12th floor by climbing the pipe and entered through the bathroom window. It was in this bathroom that the actor’s staff first spotted the intruder, leading to a confrontation that ultimately led to the actor being stabbed while trying to intervene.
The incident occurred around 2:00 am on 16 January, resulting in serious injuries to Saif Ali Khan, including stab wounds on his thoracic spine.
Shahzad was caught while trying to flee to his village in Bangladesh and was found in Hiranandani Estate in Thane. According to the police, Shahzad is a resident of Jhalokati district of Bangladesh.
