‘Raayan’ has had a good first week at the box office in India. The Dhanush starrer is expected to cross the Rs 100 crore mark by its second weekend.

Dhanush’s 50th film ‘Raayan’ is doing great at the Indian box office. It has earned more than Rs 60 crore in the first week itself and is expected to cross the Rs 100 crore mark by the second weekend.

As per trade website reports, the Tamil film earned around Rs 3.25 crore on Thursday, taking its seven-day collections to Rs 60.10 crore in India. Saconilc‘Ryan’ had a good first weekend and it will be interesting to see how much the second weekend adds to this growth.

  • Friday: Rs 13.65 crore
  • Saturday: Rs 13.75 crore
  • Sunday: Rs 15.25 crore
  • Monday: Rs 5.8 crore
  • Tuesday: Rs 4.55 crore
  • Wednesday: Rs 3.85 crore
  • Thursday: Rs 3.25 crore
  • Total: Rs 60.10 crore

Out of this Rs 60 crore, around Rs 51 crore has come from the Tamil market alone. The film has already surpassed Dhanush’s other successful films at the worldwide box office, including ‘Captain Miller’.

‘Raayan’ has no other competition in the Tamil market as the Hindi releases ‘Uljhan’ and ‘Auron Mein Kahaan Dum Tha’ have not been able to create much buzz among the audience, especially in the South. The only mild competition the film is getting is from ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ and ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’, which are doing well at the box office in the South markets.

‘Raayan’ has already grossed over Rs 100 crore at the worldwide box office and any more earnings will be a bonus. It has become Dhanush’s fastest film to earn Rs 100 crore.
