Actress Rupali Ganguly has sent a legal notice to her stepdaughter Esha Verma for ‘defaming’ her character and personal life. it was in Reaction to Isha’s ‘false and harmful statements’ And this step was taken to protect his reputation. The notice states that Ganguly is also demanding compensation of Rs 50 crore.
In the notice, it is mentioned that Rupali Ganguly suffered mental trauma due to which she had to seek medical help and was humiliated on the sets and lost professional opportunities. It also said that Ganguly wanted to maintain ‘dignified silence’ but was forced to launch a defamation notice after he and Ashwin Verma’s 11-year-old son were dragged into it.
Ganguly, through his lawyer, has claimed a compensation of Rs 50 crore, which will have to be paid to his step daughter. He has also asked for an immediate unconditional public apology, failing which Ganguly has threatened to take legal action.
In the notice, it was clarified that Rupali Ganguly was friends with Ashwin Verma for 12 years, before his separation from his second wife Isha Verma’s mother in 2009. It was also said that Ganguly along with Verma had tried to help in getting Isha. A break into the entertainment industry, by providing photoshoot opportunities and making special arrangements for auditions.
