Television actress Rupali Ganguly was recently spotted leaving an event in Mumbai on a scooter. When a video of her was widely shared on the internet, people criticised her for not wearing a helmet.
In the video, Rupali, dressed in heavy traditional attire, is seen exiting an event venue on a scooter with Kaushal Joshi, who is said to be Shehnaaz Gill’s manager. Neither Kaushal nor Rupali were wearing helmets, leading to outrage on the internet.
An Instagram user commented on Rupali’s video, “RTO Mumbai please send no helmet fine.” Another wrote, “Is helmet challan only for poor and non famous people?? (sic) (Why are only non-famous people fined for not wearing helmets?) Several other users tagged Mumbai Police in the Instagram video and asked them to take action against the actor.
Rupali was possibly attending the Star Parivaar Awards 2024, where she won several awards for her hit show Anupamaa. Rupali plays the lead role in the show. Recently, actor Sudhanshu Pandey who played the role of Vanraj left the show. Actress Madalsa Sharma who was seen as Kavya also left the show citing no development for her character.
Earlier this year, Rupali started her political career by joining the BJP. Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his work, Ganguly said, “One personality who attracts everyone towards the BJP is Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”
Apart from Anupamaa, Rupali Ganguly is also popular for playing Monisha Sarabhai in the hit sitcom Sarabhai vs Sarabhai.
