Actor Sanjay Dutt shares interesting posters of his upcoming film, last question (2026). In the three photographs, the caption questions events related to the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi, the demolition of Babri Masjid and the reason behind the Emergency in India (1975–1977).

The film centers on a young scholar named Vicky (Namashi Chakraborty) whose academic dispute with his mentor Professor Gopal Nadkarni (Dutt) turns into a televised confrontation. The story explores themes of ideology, generational differences and the search for truth against the backdrop of historical context. At the center is a master-student conflict that turns into a larger debate, with personal motivations shaping the narrative.

Director of last questionAbhijeet Mohan Warang makes his directorial debut with a Marathi language drama picasso in 2021 and won a special mention at the 67th National Film Awards. His previous works include deja vu, Prem Pratha Dhumshan, piccoloand short film virtual reality.

last question Co-produced by Nikhil Nanda, Sanjay Dutt, Punit Nanda, Dr. Deepak Singh, Gaurav Dubey and Ujjwal Anand. The story, screenplay and dialogues are written by Utkarsh Naithani. Monty Sharma composed the music of the film and Kumar Vishwas contributed lyrics.

The film is set for theatrical release on May 15, 2026.
