Eating at a fancy restaurant is certainly an enjoyable experience for many people. While some people go for the delicious food, others enjoy the service, presentation and overall ambiance. However, there is always a section of people who cannot live without discussing the inflated prices of basic dishes in expensive restaurants. Recently, a woman went to one of Virat Kohli’s restaurants and shared her experience on X (formerly Twitter). He posted a picture of a corn on the cob (corn on the cob). The snap featured a few slices of corn plated with a dollop of dipping sauce and garnished with scallions.

In his caption, he highlighted the staggering price of the dish. “Paid ₹525 for this today at One8 Commune,” she said with a crying emoji.

Well, the post was not liked by people online. Many ex-users reacted to the woman’s post. Check out some of the reactions below:

Another said, “Money is ambiance, service and cleanliness. That comfortable chair, good looking rich people around, nice crockery. Get the same thing at the cart for Rs 30. the choice is yours.”

Expressing a similar sentiment, a user said, “Well, usually, they charge for the ambiance. The food is basic anyway. But the atmosphere makes it better.”

Some people said, “You knew this before you even ordered, so stop whining.”

Meanwhile, a section on social media supported the woman and described the dish as “expensive”.
