Vijay Deverakonda has finally announced his next film, the official title of which is Rowdy Janardhanan. The makers have unveiled an intense and serious title glimpse and announced that the film is targeting a December 2026 release.
Rowdy Janardhan title preview
The 2 minutes and 7 seconds title shot of Rowdy Janardhanan starts with Vijay Deverakonda’s voice-over narration. His character tells the story of a vicious demon, ultimately discovering how he sees the demon within himself. The actor adopts a Telugu accent from the East Godavari region, sports long hair and a swirling, bushy moustache, and looks handsome in the glimpse.
With his intense new avatar, Vijay sports a completely transformed look, showing off his muscles as he violently defeats his rivals. The actor is seen wearing a lungi during the fight, which gives a glimpse of a rooted and rustic world.
As he encounters more opponents, he declares that although many in his area may call themselves “Rowdy”, he alone has earned it as his true identity, to the extent that it even serves as his name, making him Rowdy Janardhan.
Interestingly, the makers have released multiple title glimpses in different languages including Telugu, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam. Additionally, Vijay himself has dubbed for all the versions, making the flicks as authentic as possible.
Rowdy Janardhanan is directed by Ravi Kiran Kola, who previously directed the romantic drama Raja Varu Rani Garu and wrote Vishwak Sen’s Ashok Vanamalo Arjuna Kalyanam.
With Dil Raju financing the project, the film will star Keerthy Suresh in the lead role. The film’s songs and background score are composed by Brahmayugam and Dias Ira fame Cristo Xavier, while Anand C. Chandran handled the cinematography.
