Nikkhil Advani recently shared some nostalgic memories with late Rishi Kapoor and recalled how their bond grew stronger with time. Recalling her experiences with the Patiala House star, she remembered that after a few drinks, Rishi would sometimes forget her name completely, and would affectionately call her ‘ladka’.

On Cyrus Says Podcast, Nikhil Advani reflected on Patiala House, saying that despite modest box office results, the film boasted an excellent soundtrack. He said that working on the film also had a meaningful personal impact, as it brought him ‘very, very close’ to Rishi Kapoor, who played a key role in the story.

When the interviewer asked if he and Rishi Kapoor ever drank together, the director laughingly replied, “We used to drink almost every day.” Pressed to describe the experience, he summed it up in one word: “Incredible!”

He also shared that the late actor would often forget his name after a few drinks. “After the third drink, he would forget my name and then call me ‘boy’,” she said. ‘Boy, make my drink’.” Living just a wall away from Rishi’s bungalow, they were often called for late-night conversations. Earlier, on the fourth anniversary of Rishi Kapoor’s demise, Neetu Kapoor reflected on how much life has changed without him. She shared an emotional Instagram post featuring a photo of them together. Along with the photo, she wrote, “Four years to us… life will never be the same without you,” the post is set to the instrumental theme of their iconic 1980 film Karz.
