He said his brother genuinely cared about people. Throughout his career, he offered help to thousands of people by writing letters and sending emails. Lenny further said people should not be sad and should celebrate Richard’s life.

Lenny also elaborated about the fitness coach’s professional front. He said that Richard has a few projects he is working on and he is very excited about them.

The Richard Simmons Show star’s brother said he was in shock and urged people to respect his family during this difficult time.

Richard recently shared his plans with the outlet about how he wanted to celebrate his birthday. In the publication’s article published on Friday, the fitness coach shared that he is feeling good and further expressed gratitude that he is alive for another day.

Richard told the publication that he plans to spend his birthday doing what he does every day: helping people.
