Review of Odam Kuthira Chadam Kuthira: Fahd Fasil in Penseli Unfunny Comedy
Odom Kuthira Chadam Kuthira Movie Review: Director Althf Salim’s romantic comedy, starring Fahd Fasil and Kalyani Priyadarshan, is an absurd romantic comedy that struggles to find her rung. Surprisingly, even Fahd Fasil is not able to raise it.

Release date: August 29, 2025
Mohanlal’s ‘Hridaypurvam’, one of the popular ONAM release of this year, was shown, where a fan who claims to know Malayalam cinema is highly spoken of FAFA aka Fahd Fasil. He tells Mohanlal, which is one of the legends of Malayalam cinema, that Fafa is the best. A day later, Fafa’s ‘Odam Kuthira Chadam Kuthira’ hit theaters. You hope that the fan said everything. Eyes, expressions and everything. But Fahd’s film makes you so bored that you consider getting out of the theater. Now, this is a sentence I never thought that I would say as a critic.
One night before marriage, Nidhi (Kalyani Priyadarshan) tells her fiancé Abi Mathre (Fahd Fasil) about a dream that she has been doing for the last few days. Nidha is a woman who sees dreams as signs and goes to the extent of realizing them. Sapna Abi is about arriving at a white horse to arrive at the wedding. Abi gives to his fundamentalists and finds a horse with the help of his colleague Anurag (Anuraj Ob).
As soon as the groom and its side enter the site, the cameras blind the horse. Abi loses grip and falls to the ground because the horse runs Amok. His head collides with a concrete wall, and he slips into a coma. Neil goes to meet him every day for almost a year. Will Abi wake up with his coma? What will happen to fund? Will she leave her and marry another person?
A few minutes in the ‘Odam Kuthira Chadam Kuthira’ of director Althf Salim, you know that you are looking at a world that the director has created, where every other person is eccentric, crazy and out of understanding. You heat yourself by taking on a crazy ride with eccentric characters. But, grab your horses (punishment), the film takes you to the place without a return by the caller.
The story comes out randomly, after the love story of Nis-E-BB in Bengaluru. If you think what is happening in Nipi and Abi’s life, then Zany is, the story takes random turns that will leave you from scratching your head. Kalyani Priyadarshan’s fund disappears after a while. The story offers a track with Kindergarten Teacher Rewathi (Rewathi Pila). There is ATT, a chef, which kills delicious dishes. Then Abi’s brother is Sibi, who steals from his house.
While there are many subplots, director Althalf Salim fails to tie lumps. Even if he tries, jokes and the story become flat. So flat that the wall can also seem more interesting than the film. Jokes do not land, characters do not feel emotions, and the screenplay rarely makes you feel investment.
The decision of every screenplay in ‘Odam Kuthira Chadam Kuthira’ becomes strangers with the story moving forward. If there was a measure for the level of bizarreness, you will run out of the space by now. Fahad tries to sell fascic and red quirks, but the story (or their deficiency) retracts you.
‘Odam Kuthira Chadam Kuthira’ is a film in which there is nothing for it. Neither Fahd Fasil, nor Lal, nothing. And it says a lot about the work of the film and director Althf Salim which has gone very wrong.
