Motorola unveiled the Motorola Signature last month as the first smartphone under its new Signature series. We’ve received one in our office for review, but before we lay the Signature at its feet, let’s do a quick unboxing and see what’s on offer.
The Motorola Signature comes in two colors – Pantone Martini Olive and Pantone Carbon. We received the Pantone Martini Olive Edition, which came in a black retail package, which included some documents, a SIM ejector tool, and a transparent protective case with magnets.
Our unit didn’t come with a power adapter, but in some markets, including India, the Motorola Signature is sold with a 90W charger instead of a magnetic protective case.

Anyway, moving on, the Motorola Signature features a 6.85″ LTPO AMOLED display on the front, protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2. We’re looking at a Pantone-validated display with a 165Hz refresh rate, 2,780×1,264-pixel resolution, 6,200 nits peak brightness, and Dolby Vision support.
The display also has a centered punch-hole for a 50MP selfie camera, and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner at the bottom for biometric authentication.
Turn the Motorola Signature around, and you’ll see Motorola’s batwing logo and a circular-shaped camera island, with a dual-LED flash and a trio of 50MP cameras – a primary, an ultrawide, and a 3x periscope telephoto.
The back panel of the Pantone Martini Olive model has a “twill-inspired finish”, while the back cover of the Pantone Carbon Edition has a “linen-inspired texture”.
The Motorola Signature has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC under the hood, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. Our unit has 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. No matter how much RAM and storage the phone has, it runs on Android 16 out of the box. Motorola has promised up to seven years of Android OS upgrades and security updates for the Signature, and only time will tell if the Lenovo-owned brand lives up to that.
As said, the Motorola Signature weighs 186 grams and measures 6.99 mm thick. Inside that slim profile is a 5,200 mAh Si/C battery that supports 90W wired and 50W wireless charging. The Signature can also be used to charge other devices, as it supports 5W reverse wired and 10W reverse wireless charging.
The rest of the Motorola Signature’s features include IP68 and IP69 ratings, MIL-STD-810H certification, NFC, and dual Bose-tuned stereo speakers. Additionally, the smartphone supports Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio (wired and wireless).
That’s all for now. We’ll be starting our review process soon, so stay tuned to find out if the Motorola Signature is worth your money!
