Renukaswamy case: Jailed actor Darshan Thoogudeepa taken to hospital after repeatedly complaining of back pain

Actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, who has been accused of the brutal murder of his apparent admirer Renukaswamy, has been in judicial custody since June. The Kannada actor is reportedly facing health problems in jail, especially extreme back pain. In the latest turn of events, a report in Kannada OneIndia claims that the actor accused of murder was taken from Bellary jail to VIMS hospital for medical consultation from professionals.

Some videos circulating on the internet also make the same claim. Darshan Thoogudeepa reportedly had to go to the hospital after complaining of severe back pain, following which officials had to arrange for an MRI scan to assess his health condition. Watch the viral video below!

Furthermore, reports also suggest that Darshan Thoogudeepa was taken to the hospital amid tight security. On arrival, doctors conducted an MRI scan to find out the cause. According to reports he was experiencing pain for some time and needed proper medical care. After checkup, Darshan was brought back to jail.

Meanwhile, according to an ANI report, Darshan’s lawyer had appealed to the court for bail due to his severe back pain, which may require immediate surgical procedure. After this, the bench headed by Justice Vishwajit Shetty asked to submit all the medical reports of Darshan in the court. He ended the hearing by adjourning it till the next date. 28 October 2024.

With this new development, it is being speculated that this moratorium may result in the jailed actor getting bail during Diwali, which is on October 31, 2024. However, there has been no official confirmation of this.

Let us tell you that after Darshan’s bail was rejected by the Bengaluru court, he approached the Karnataka High Court and challenged the decision of the lower court in the Renukaswamy case. The Kannada actor had reportedly requested for an emergency hearing on his bail plea.
