Reason 2, which includes social media content creators Hashir HAlan Bin Siraj, Ajin Joy and Vinayak V are making waves. Now, the franchise is all set to expand with another sequel which will star newcomer actresses in the lead roles and is titled Waaza 3.
Amid the success of Waza 2, Waza 3 was officially announced.
The makers have announced Waaza 3 on their social media handles. With production set to begin in 2027, the new film will be led by a group of newcomer actresses.
Sharing the update, the makers wrote, “Waza 3 – An Arab Girls Biopic. The Waza franchise continues its journey of introducing new talent and new voices to cinema. Production begins next year.”

While the first and second installments were led by male actors, the third installment is said to focus on the dilemmas faced by many girls during the transition from adolescence to adulthood. According to a report in The Q, producer and screenwriter Vipin Das revealed that the film will be based in the 1990s and will explore the coming-of-age challenges that many women face in life.
Directed by Vishwan Srijith, the film marks Prithviraj Sukumaran’s directorial debut after working in Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil and previous Vaazha films.
Like the first two installments, the film is expected to feature collaboration from multiple composers, with Ankit Menon serving as the music supervisor.

For those unaware, the first film, Reason – Biopic of One Billion BoysWas released in theaters in 2024. The film presents a budding comedy-drama that follows a group of friends as they transition from school and college into adulthood, and face various challenges along the way.
The film received positive reviews and eventually became a big hit in theatres. It featured social media creators like Siju Sunny, Amith Mohan Rajeshwari, Joman Jyotir, Anshid Anu and others in lead roles. It is currently available for streaming on JioHotstar.
Continuing with the same theme, the makers returned with the sequel, Reason 2: A Billion Brothers BiopicWhich explored other people’s stories.
