Reason 2 Kerala Box Office Collection: Haashir starrer comedy drama earns a sensational Rs 57 crore in first week

Malayalam film Vaazha 2: Biopic of a Billion Brothers completed its extended opening week impressively. The coming-of-age comedy drama earned Rs. 8.50 crores were collected on the eighth day, which saw a huge increase of 38 percent compared to the opening day.

In fact, its eighth day collection is also equal to its Sunday collection, which was the highest single day collection. He said, the film has just started its wonderful journey and will continue to rock the box office in the coming weeks.

The film collected Rs. 15,000 in its opening week. It grossed Rs 57.20 crore at the Kerala box office, which is a new record for a Malayalam film starring a debutant or a newcomer. Based on current trends, Reason 2 is expected to see a huge surge in the second weekend, taking it close to Rs. 100 crore club.

So far, only two Malayalam films, Thoodaram and Loka Chapter One-Chandra have been able to cross the three-digit figure in Kerala. Reason 2 is expected to be the third. It even has the potential to surpass both the films and emerge as the new industry hit in its home region.

After the success ofReason: Biopic of one billion boysProducer and writer Vipin Das returned with a sequel titled ‘Waza 2: Biopic of a Billion Brothers’. Directed by Savin Sa, the film stars Hashir, Alan Bin Siraj, Ajin Joy and Vinayak in lead roles.

It is composed by the band Malayali Monkeys with Rajat Prakash (Hatsmith), Parvathish Pradeep, Razi, Muthu, Arkado, Jazeer Muhammad, Ashwin Aryan and Electronic Killy, while A Team handled the background score. Music directed by Ankit Menon. Akhil Lailasuran took charge of the cinematography and Kannan Mohan served as the editor.
