A few months ago, Realme launched the GT7 Pro racing version in China as a more affordable version of the original GT 7 Pro – 12/256GB models sell for CNY 2,900 and CNY 3,500 respectively. Now there is an even more affordable version available which still provides the major performance.
Realme GT7 is powered by the latest dimension 9400+, which improves CPU and NPU performance. The chipset is paired with 12GB or 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB, 512GB or 1TB UFS 4.0 storage.
The model has a 6.8 “1,280 x 2,800px display that runs at a 144Hz refresh rate, but does not have a LTPO panel. It has a global maximum glow of 1,800 NITs, which is controlled with DC dimming and PWM. It supports 10-bit colors and supports HDR.
The battery is much larger than the GT7 Pro’s 6,500mAh battery with a capacity of 7,200mAh. The energy density is 841wh/l. It supports the 100W super flash charge (only wired). If the battery is dead, you can charge 5% in only 1 minute, this is enough to boot the phone and make some calls. Complete charge, the battery will run up to 17 hours of video playback.

The phone also supports the second generation bypass charging that draws power directly from the wall. A layer of graphene plus conductive glass fiber improves heat disintegration during the use and charging and is the “largest” vapor room in the industry for chipset (claim realme).
Despite all this, the Vanilla GT7 is actually slightly smaller than the Pro – it is narrow at 76 mm and is thin at 8.25 mm (vs 76.9 mm and 8.6 mm) and is mild to boot on 203 g (vs 223g). Despite the lighter build, this phone has still been rated IP69.
The GT7 has a more basic camera system than the 50MP main (1/1.56 “Sony IMX896 vs. 1/1.56” IMX906) and 8MP Ultra-Wide (1/4 “, Omnivision Ov08D10 vs. 1/4” IMX355). The selfie camera has a 16MP sensor (the same IMX480). The rear camera supports 4K video recording up to 60fps, the front camera tops 60fps at 1080p.
Connectivity is dual 5G, Wi-Fi 7 (BE), Bluetooth 5.4, NFC and an IR blaster. Stereo is a speaker but there is no headphone jack. Under display fingerprint reader is an ultrasonic type.

Realme GT7 is now available through the company’s online store in China. The pricing is below, the base starts at the CNY 2,600 for the 12/256GB model ($ 355/€ 310/₹ 30,500).
