Realme 16T comes with Dimensity 6300 SoC, 144Hz display, and 8,000 mAh battery

Realme today expanded its 16 series with the introduction of the Realme 16T, taking the total number of smartphones in the lineup to four.

The biggest highlight of the Realme 16T is its 8,000 mAh battery, which is claimed to last up to 7 years and lasts for 3 days on a single charge. The battery supports 45W charging and can also be used as a power bank, as it supports 15W reverse wired charging. You also get all-scenario bypass charging.

Another highlight of the Realme 16T is its 50MP primary camera on the rear, which is joined by a 2MP monochrome unit. The primary camera uses a Sony IMX852 sensor and is advertised by Realme as “50MP Sony IMX852 AI Camera”. Reason? The smartphone comes with some AI-powered photography features, including AI Portrait Glow, which “intelligently analyzes the lighting around the subjects and applies complementary lighting effects to enhance the brightness of the subject.”

There are four lighting effects available in AI Portrait Glow: Flash, Studio Light, Natural Light, and Rim Light.

Apart from AI features, the Realme 16T comes with LumaColor IMAGE technology for “true-to-life skin tones” in photos.

The camera module at the back has Aura flash and a selfie mirror, which is nothing new on mobile phones. The back cover of the Realme 16T also flaunts the glittering wings design, but you only get it with the Aurora Green colorway.

On the front, we have a 6.8″ HD+ 144Hz LCD with a peak brightness of 1,200 nits. The display has a centered punch hole for the 16MP selfie camera, but there’s no fingerprint scanner at the bottom, as it’s embedded in the power button on the right side of the phone.

Under the hood is the Dimensity 6300 SoC, paired with 8GB of RAM. The Realme 16T runs Realme UI 7.0 out of the box, but Realme hasn’t said how many years of software support it will get.

Other features of the Realme 16T include 5,300 mm2 Vapor chamber for cooling, MIL-STD-810H certification, and IP66, IP68, IP69, IP69K, and IP69 Pro ratings. There is also a microSD card slot to expand storage up to 2TB.

Realme 16T comes in Aurora Green, Starlight Black, and India-exclusive Starlight Red colors. It also has three memory options – 6GB/128GB, 8GB/128GB, and 8GB/256GB, priced at Rs 29,999, Rs 31,999, and Rs 34,999, respectively.
